Tuesday, September 29th, 2009, At Sea between Halifax, New Scotland (Nova Scotia) and New York
Overcast, fog, and intermittent rain showers kept us inside during much of the morning. Monika and I were both tired, but during a break in the rain we managed three laps on the promenade deck before we called it quits and went back inside. Up in the library we exchanged some more paperback books with the other passengers and obtained another Sudoku and crossword puzzle, after which we retired to our cabin until lunch.
After lunch I zonked out while Monika uploaded and backed up pictures, and then she went off to enjoy the final Park West art auction (free champagne!) while I pecked away at the journal. I continued working on that when she came back and started packing. Our experience is that it is usually easier for one person to pack while the other person mainly stays out of the way and tries not to interfere too much. By the time Monika had finished her first round of packing, I had pretty much brought the journal up to date, so then I started packing, always a painful process at the end of a nice cruise!
The day ended with a last fancy meal and an evening performance where we said good buy to all the ships staff from the Captain on down to the dining room wait staff.
